Here’s my super camper Jolleen (from my 5:30 am fitness boot camp):
(See here she’s on a scrap booking weekend, but found time to do some squat jumps and other fun things.)
You can thank Jolleen for this awesome workout! She told me about it and I asked if I could share it with you. She reports her time to complete as about 45 minutes. Here’s the workout:
Do 100 skips then do 10 reps of each exercise, then do the 100 skips, then do 9 reps of each exercise, then do the 100 skips, then do 8 reps…(get it? you’re counting down!)
-
skipping (100)
-
push ups
-
squats
-
prone chest press
-
tricep overhead
-
double arm row
-
lateral raise
-
lunges (per leg)
-
spider crawl (per leg)
-
bicycle crunch abs (per leg)
I challenge you to do Jolleen’s workout and either post your time or tell us how many times you do the complete circuit of 10 reps each. We’ll see if others can top it and we’ll get a friendly competition going. If you create a little workout of your own, share it with our group. We can count on each other to keep us motivated to keep our fitness goals front and center!
I’ll get another video workout up soon if I get 10 comments on Jolleen’s post!
(And thanks Jolleen for sharing and motivating us all!)

Good work Jolleen! You’re cardio must be incredible with all that skipping!
Thanks Joleen… just finished your work out… I fell great and ready to start the day.
oops I mean I FEEL great… but I must say I almost tripped after all that skipping!
Okay everyone, I did this workout this morning and it took me 28:19 (I’m sure Jolleen didn’t really time her sets to the minute when she said it took her 45 min). My last set of all 10 exercises took 5:19. It was a great workout-thanks Jolleen! I used heavier dumb bells because I have them. You should try to pump up the weight as much as possible. Now, I’m not competitive at all (ha!), but I suggest someone beat my time!
I just finished the work out, thanks Joleen and Shawna for sharing it, it is a Great workout, very motivating!
So fun that you guys tried it! :o) and you are right Shawna, I actually just assmued the time, as my playlist was about 45 minutes long but I didn’t time each set to the minute – plus I had some water breaks in-between!!
I’ve just finished a slightly modified version of this (I swapped the rows for bicep curls and alternated between lunges and side lunges) .. and it was really good … I didn’t time it, just did as many rounds as I could in 1hr (incl warm-up/cool down) .. great start to the day and helps ease some of the indulgence guilt! Keep them coming please!
I tried a slightly modified version (30 mad jacks instead of skipping) and 15 reps to ease the guilt of no skipping! :0 Really good work out, enjoyed it lots! thanks Jolleen and Shawna!
Thanks for sharing Donna! It’s surprising how little equipment and space you need for a great workout if you put your mind to it!
