Decreasing your rest is a great way of increasing the intensity of your workout. The beauty of using an audio track in your training is that you don’t have to watch the clock. I mentioned that there are audio tracks in my new ebook. If you’ve never used audio tracks before, you may wonder how to use them.
In the video, I show one way an audio track can be used to increase your fitness level while losing fat at an alarming rate. Here I show a ’20/10′ squat jump tabata. This is only one way the track could be used. You can use a variety of exercises and two other audio tracks from my program to help you meet your fitness goals. (Nine other protocols are listed in the program, and a chart for developing your own fitness program for use with the audio tracks.)
Yikes—tabata squat jumps—Shawna you make it look so easy but really I know how your legs must have been BURNING! That’s one tabata I think would be good to have in class but would probably kill us all…. See you in the morning : D
Ya, I had to pretend that my legs weren’t on fire and I wasn’t about to lose my lunch, that is a hard tabata! Hmmm, Wednesday is tabata day this week, might have to see how you do with it!
Interesting high intensity workout. Have you ever tried sets of 100’s?
YES! Doing sets of 100 is a fast and killer workout!
Unfortunately, so many of the exercises for intensity are hard on the knees, especially moving fast. I can do some lunge types if I take my time, but every other kind of movement, though I haven’t tried the stationary bike because I quit my gym, brings back swelling and some pain. I keep taking time off, but it’s discouraging. I hope I can get a chance to work out like this again.
How about trying this workout at home?

And get some ice on the knees right after the workout. You may want to swap out the lunges for a lateral lunge. You’re gonna feel better if you do something, so give it a go and let me know…
