I am in my fifties and have had a hard time getting back in shape.
I hope to pick up some good info here.
I’ve often found that it’s not so hard to lose weight when people have others to support them. Usually a few friends/like minded individuals will make the difference in providing that extra boost to stick with a diet/fitness routine.
When you want to lose weight, you must come to grip with two type of fiber. There are two types of fiber: water-soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber absolve the acid that your liver need for digestion. Insoluble fiber, as i put it, will keep you sweeped out.
There is a 7 year gap between my eldest two boys and my 6 week old twins…four kids later and I was so worried about never getting my pre-children body back! My mum recommended Green Coffee Bean Max after seeing it advertised on tv…six weeks after having twins and I am below my pre-pregnancy weight. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, not only have i had great and steady weightloss, but i have so much energy and feel great! Goodluck to all on your weightloss/fitness journeys….never give up on yourself!

I turned 40 last year and [due to the onset of body image panic] I turned my attention to getting tuned up a bit. I can’t remember where I heard of my method but it works ! Forget food types and all that jazz … work on the time that you eat.
When I want to lose weight, I don’t eat after 3pm … when I want to maintain my weight, I don’t eat after 6.30pm. I eat normally before these times and my weight sorts itself out nicely. I have a theory that sleep is very important in body weight and these time limits allow your digestive process to complete in time to allow your body plenty of peaceful sleep post digestion.

My own journey to losing weight and getting healthier is different than most, in that I learned to pay attention to which foods made me ill and which made me feel better. This led to…being vegetarian most of my life, and have eliminated all gluten and processed foods from my diet! In addition, I walk 2-3 a day for more than 20 minutes. I take a lot of herbal formulas in pill form. And by a combination of these, the health rewards are no colds, allergies or flu for over 30 years! The principle I believe in and live by is: “The source of all chronic disease is chronic malnutrition.” I love your site!
In times of famine, the body is designed to slow its metabolism and conserve the few calories that are available. This means more fat is stored, even though you may be eating as little as half of your previous food intake. The easiest way to boost your resting metabolism is to add some strength training into your exercise routine. Building muscle will make your body burn more calories even while sitting at rest, which may eliminate the reasons you currently can’t lose weight.
