Age is no excuse for being inactive. I’m 51 and I believe that age is just a number. I know that regular workouts and taking care with my nutrition has helped me look and feel great for the first half century 😉
I’m starting to feel some of the effects of aging, like hot flashes and sore knees, but other than that, I have to say I’ll never act my age. You’re only as young as you think you are, and while I never want to be the one that’s sporting age-inappropriate clothing or behaving badly, I DO want to be young at heart and physically capable to take on any challenge I want.
Here’s a fun home workout for you. The reason I’ve name it this way is because I’m introducing a kettle bell that you can use instead of a dumb bell if you choose.
So, you know, I’m the ‘old dog’ doing a ‘new trick’ with the KB.
OLD DOG NEW TRICK WORKOUT
Do 40 seconds of work with a 10 second rest for 5 rounds:
Plie squat (or squat jump)
DB or KB row
DB or KB row other arm
Step up or box jump
Incline push up
*If you don’t have a timer, do 10 reps of each exercise.
If you like this workout and would like MORE of this style of training with follow along videos where Shawna takes you through each and every set and rep, check out her program HERE.  Already know and love the program?  Check out the brand NEW Inner Circle membership program HERE.
